In 335/4 B.C. Aristotle returned to Athens to open his own philosophical school, the Lyceum. The students of this school were called "peripatetics" (Greek: "walking around") because they were known for walking around while discussing philosophical topics. The Lyceum was located in what is now the Zappeion Gardens.
